MSc in Artificial Intelligence

The course introduces and broadens students knowledge in the field of computational intelligence. It introduces basic principles of AI including expert systems, fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, hybrid intelligent systems. It uses problem based studies, to develop the core skills necessary for AI implementation, by introducing industry standard tools through MATLAB toolboxes and expert system shells and applying them to a variety of case studies. Course units are: Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems; MATLAB Simulation of AI Systems; Intelligent Software Applications; Statistical Pattern Recognition; Evolutionary Computation; Knowledge-based Systems; Computer Vision and Applications; Project Preparation; and an individual project.
