Dr Calum MacKellar
Calum MacKellar is the Director of Research at the Scottish Council on Human Bioethics which encourages the engagement of Scottish society in the field of medical ethics. Having worked with the Bioethics Division of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg he also has extensive experience of international bioethics.

Dr Mair Crouch
Mair Crouch is a geneticist with specialist knowledge of bio-technological developments and ethical issues, and has an LLB degree from Strachclyde University. She is actively involved in encouraging debate on issues concerning bioethics; and she was appointed onto the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority in September 2008.

Professor David A Jones
David Jones is Professor of Bioethics at St Mary’s University College where he is also Programme Director of a Foundation Degree in Healthcare Chaplaincy. He is well known for his books which include The Soul of the Embryo, and his public involvement in medical ethics.

Professor Hugh V McLachlan
Hugh McLachlan is Professor of Applied Philosophy at Glasgow Caledonian University. He is a specialist in medical and bioethics, about which he has written widely in the general press as well as in dedicated academic journals. From time to time he appears on the radio and the television as a commentator on ethical issues.
