MA in Bioethics

This course examines ethical issues in medicine and biomedical sciences from a Hippocratic / Judeo-Christian perspective. It engages with the major schools of contemporary bioethics and also provides an opportunity to study the perspectives of different religious traditions. The course includes medical law, moral philosophy and philosophy of the human person, as well as optional modules focusing on specific topics such as end of life issues or health and social responsibility. It is taught either on site at St Mary's by evening seminars or by distance learning and is available full-time or part-time over three years.
