M Res in Advanced Genetic Analysis

The programme includes specialist training in genetics as well as more general training for bioscientists, and is designed to enable postgraduates to understand and experience a broad range of areas in advanced genetics research. Skills modules allow an introduction to the biosciences for graduates in science based disciplines as well as consolidating the knowledge of graduates in biological sciences(up to 40 credits). In conjunction, students will choose specialist taught modules extending across the breadth of current genetics and bioinformatics (up to 60 credits). Undertake an extended research project, with an emphasis on practical research training (100 credits). (total 180 credits)
