M Res in Human Molecular Genetics

Projects in this area will study the rol of repetitive DNA sequences in health and disease and in chromosome stability. The MRes Course consists of two elements: 160 credits of assessed work based on a research project equivalant of around 10 months research work. 20 credits of non-assessed generic training accumulated from any of the curses offered by The Graduate School. The courses should be chosen by the student in consultation with the supervisor(s) and should have a clear relevance to the general area of reseach.

Funding: We offer 10 x £1,000 tuition fee scholarships for students starting full-time study in one of the new Masters by Research (MRes) programmes. Applicants must be classified as 'overseas' students for fees purposes and be applying to study full time. These scholarships contribute towards the tuition fee.
